I’m a reader and I’m working on being a writer. It happens.
The problem is that my time management really sucks. I work best with deadlines and at the last minute. I’ve got plenty of examples, but that’s not for right now. I don’t have any deadlines though. The ones I make for myself just don’t work that well. All my best bouts of productivity have been when I’m around other people writing.
Therein lays the point of Stuff and/or Junk.
Another author I follow, Myke Cole, linked a blog by his agent a while back and he talked about the importance of networking. That’s not always possible for someone with a day job. And it seems that most scifi/fantasy authors live in the midwest or Pacific northwest. So why not do it via ye old internets?
And there’s another point of Stuff and/or Junk.
I think I’ve only got two points. But they seem expansive enough. I’m going to post something practical soon. Really.
